According to the latest data, 2% of the worlds carbon emissions are by airplanes. In the transport sector, airplanes release 12% of the carbon emissions. Newer airplanes are made more fuel efficient than the preceding ones. Even in minor changes in percentages, airplanes have a massive change in carbon emissions and fuel efficiency. During one test, a biofuel blend was used on the new Boeing 747-8 Freighter. The test went flawless and normal. The plane flew for 5,000 miles with all of the plane's four engines run on the biofuel. Many other test flights with biofuels were performed. These experiments proved that biofuels can perform the same way as custom jet fuels. The most important achievement under Boeing's wing is that they have done this in just two years.
