School reopen, School reopen date, Schoolreopendate, collage reopen, collage reopen date, collagereopendate, when school and collages reopen in Puducherry 2021?

PUDUCHERRY: Chief Minister N Rangasamy announced on Monday the re-opening of schools for classes 9, 10, 11 and 12 from 1 September. All colleges will be re-opened on a rotating basis on September 1.

Classes will be held for half a day over two days by reducing the strength by 50 percent, he said. All teaching and non-teaching staff in schools were invited to get vaccinated before the reopening, the Chief Minister said. In addition, college students and staff were also invited to be vaccinated. Altogether, about 90 percent of school staff were vaccinated, while the rest would also be vaccinated, he said.

However, there are no Normal Operating Procedures (SOPs) in place to ensure compliance. The Chief Minister stated that the respective establishments will ensure that all COVID-19 standards are met.

Depending on the strength of the students, the classes will take place in two or three rooms, said educational secretary E Vallavan. The timelines will be set by the respective colleges. Buses will operate at a half capacity. Neighboring PHC will look after institutional emergencies, he said.

Vaccination camps will take place at all colleges to ensure that all students and staff are vaccinated before the colleges reopen. Almost all staff, except those who cannot be vaccinated due to COVID-19 and have to wait three months to be vaccinated, would be punched. Without vaccination, students will not be permitted to attend colleges," said the Minister of Education.

Schools and colleges would be completely cleaned up before the start of classes, said Vallavan. Some masks and disinfectants are given to schools and colleges for students who come to learn without these masks.

Projects under the Smart City for a Rs 260 crores investment would be implemented.
