Out of the many florae on our planet Earth, trees are the most important and common ones to humans. The common thing between all humans and animals is that we need oxygen for our survival. We inhale in oxygen and exhale out carbon dioxide. Only the trees and most plants on our Earth are able to utilize the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and release out oxygen. What will happen if there were no plants or trees? Obviously, the world would end very soon. We depend on florae not only for fresh oxygen but also for our food needs. Every food item that comes to your plate is directly or indirectly from plants. Direct items of food include fruits, vegetables, food grains, seeds, etc. Indirect sources include meat, seafood, etc. You might ask, how are meats related to plants? The answer to that is simple, all the animals from where we get the meat depend on the flora for their food. Let us discuss all the importance of trees in this post.

Desertification is also caused by soil erosion. The valuable topsoil is washed away by the wind, or other agents taking advantage of the absence of trees. Desertification spreads this way.
