Kia Carens Expected Price Rs. 15.00 Lakh and it  will be revealed on December 16, 2021 and should be launched in India in the first half of 2022.

The Kia Carens will be revealed on December 16, 2021 and should be launched in India in the first half of 2022.

Kia Carens Performance

The Kia Carens is expected to be powered by 1.5L petrol engines and 1.5L diesel engines from the Seltos. It should be available as part of manual and automatic transmissions.

Kia Carens Feature

Carens will be based upon the present Seltos. Being a 6/7 seater, it will be longer than the Seltos with a slightly lengthened wheelbase to accommodate the seats in the third row. According to newly revealed sketch images, the Carens will sport a tiger-nose front grille, LED headlamps, split LED tail lamps, LED DRLs, five-spoke alloy wheels, roof rails,  plastic cladding, and a roof-mounted spoiler.

The interior design drawings reveal an multi-layered instrument panel with a 10.25-inch centre-stacked touchscreen infotainment system a contrast-colour insert at the centre, and aircon vents placed below the multimedia system. In addition, the Caren will feature a three-pronged steering wheel with silver inserts and the brand's new logo.

Kia Carens Price

The price of the Kia Carens is expected to be between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (Ex-showroom Price).

Kia Carens Competition

The Kia Carens will be manufactured here in India and exported to countries around the world. It will see the competition of the Suzuki Maruti XL6 facelift, which is also expected to hit the markets around the same period. In addition, the vehicle will be competitive with the Hyundai Alcazar, among others.

Kia Carens Bhp and Nm

The petrol motor is expected to dish out 114 bhp and 144 Nm of max torque while the diesel unit should be able to crank out 114 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. The transmission options will probably include a 6-speed manual converter, a 6-speed torque converter and a CVT converter. A turbo petrol option of 1.4 liters could also be proposed, which can be declined in 140 PS and will be mainly coupled to a DCT Autobox.
